The M&E Technician is responsible for carrying out preventive, corrective, and routine maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems, equipment, and facilities to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment (e.g., HVAC, pumps, motors, switchboards, lighting systems).
Conduct inspections, troubleshooting, and repair works for building systems and facilities.
Respond to breakdowns, faults, and emergency call-outs to minimize downtime.
Support installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment or systems.
Monitor and record equipment performance, maintenance activities, and technical issues.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and statutory regulations.
Assist in energy efficiency improvements and recommend technical solutions.
Liaise with contractors, vendors, and other departments when required.
Maintain tools, equipment, and spare parts in good working condition.
Requirements
Diploma/ITE certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent).
At least 23 years of relevant working experience in facilities management, building maintenance, or M&E systems.
Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, troubleshooting, and repair.
Able to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
Physically fit and willing to work on shifts, weekends, or be on standby duty when required.
