We are seeking a committed and hands-on M&E Site Engineer to oversee and coordinate mechanical and electrical works on site. The candidate will ensure all M&E installations are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, and safety standards.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Site Supervision & Execution
- Supervise and manage day-to-day M&E works on site (mechanical & electrical)
- Ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and work schedule
- Monitor progress and ensure timely completion of works
2. Drawing Coordination & Technical Support
- Review M&E drawings and coordinate with main contractor/project team, Subcontractors, Consultants (Architect, C&S Engineer, M&E Engineer)
- Identify drawing discrepancies and raise RFIs where necessary
- Ensure proper coordination between M&E and structural/architectural works
3. Installation & Quality Control
- Inspect installation works such as Electrical (cabling, DBs, lighting, containment systems), Mechanical (HVAC, ducting, piping, plumbing, fire protection)
- Ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards
- Conduct site inspections and ensure proper workmanship
4. Testing & Commissioning
- Assist in testing and commissioning of M&E systems
- Coordinate with subcontractors and consultants for inspections and handover
- Prepare necessary documentation for testing and commissioning
5. Authority & Compliance
- Ensure all works comply with local regulations and standards, including Building and Construction Authority (BCA) relevant codes, and safety requirements
- Support submission of M&E drawings and documents if required
6. Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare and submit daily / weekly site reports, progress updates, method statements, and checklists
- Maintain proper records of site activities and inspections
7. Safety & Coordination
- Ensure all M&E works comply with Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) regulations
- Conduct site coordination with other trades to avoid clashes and delays
- Attend site meetings and coordinate work schedules
8. Any ad-hoc related job maybe assigned
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of relevant site experience in the Singapore construction industry
- Good knowledge of M&E systems and site coordination
- Familiar with local codes and submission requirements
- Proficient in AutoCAD (basic knowledge required)
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Experience in building projects / A&A works / structural projects
- Able to work independently and under pressure
