M&E Engineer to support mechanical and electrical coordination for an LTA (Land Transport Authority) project. Responsible for M&E design coordination, submission preparation and liaison with authorities and project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate M&E design (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire, drainage) with architect, structural and other disciplines.
- Prepare, review and issue CSD/SEM drawings and M&E submissions required by LTA and other authorities.
- Ensure M&E drawings and shop/submission documents comply with project specifications, standards and authority requirements.
- Attend coordination meetings, resolve clashes (BIM/2D), and issue revised drawings as required.
- Produce technical calculations, schedules and equipment lists for M&E systems.
- Support tender/contractor queries, review shop drawings and subcontractor submissions.
- Monitor progress of M&E design deliverables and report to project/lead engineer.
- Assist with site inspections, commissioning support and snagging as required.
- Maintain documentation, as-built records and ensure HSE/compliance on M&E matters.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 23 years experience in M&E coordination or building services design within construction projects.
- Experience preparing CSD/SEM drawings and statutory M&E submissions to authorities (LTA knowledge advantageous).
- Proficient with AutoCAD/Revit (BIM) and MS Office; ability to review shop drawings and perform basic M&E calculations.
- Good coordination, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Detail-oriented, able to work to deadlines and attend project meetings/site when required.
- Familiarity with local M&E codes and LTA submission procedures is a plus.
