M& E /Air-Con Technician Cum Driver

Job Summary

The M&E Technician Cum Driver is responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical and electrical systems, including air-conditioning (HVAC) systems, while also providing driving support for transporting personnel, equipment, and materials.

Key Responsibilities

. M&E / Air-Conditioning Duties

. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems.

. Install, service, and repair air-conditioning units (split units, FCUs, AHUs, VRV/VRF systems).

. Troubleshoot faults in compressors, thermostats, refrigerant systems, motors, and electrical panels.

. Carry out refrigerant charging, leak detection, and system performance checks.

. Conduct routine inspections to ensure efficient operation of all M&E systems.

. Maintain proper records of servicing, repairs, and inspections.

. Ensure compliance with safety procedures and environmental regulations.

. Report defects, hazards, and recommend improvements.

Driver Duties

. Safely transport workers, tools, and materials to work sites.

. Ensure vehicle is properly maintained, clean, and serviced.

. Conduct daily vehicle inspections (fuel, oil, brakes, tyres, etc.).

. Follow all traffic rules and company policies.

. Plan routes and ensure timely delivery and pick-up.

. Assist in loading and unloading equipment when required.

Requirements

. NITEC / Higher NITEC / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Air-Conditioning, or related field.

. Valid driving license (e.g., Class 3 in Singapore).

. Minimum 2-3 years of experience in M&E and air-conditioning maintenance.

. Knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical troubleshooting, and mechanical equipment.

. Ability to read technical drawings and manuals.

. Familiar with refrigerant handling and safety practices.

. Able to perform manual tasks and able to work on-site.

. Strong safety awareness and teamwork.
