Low-Code Engineer (OutSystems)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Low-Code Engineer (OutSystems) to design, develop, enhance and maintain enterprise-grade applications using the OutSystems platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality digital solutions throughout the Agile development lifecycle while supporting mission-critical applications within a cloud-native environment.

This role requires strong hands-on experience with OutSystems development, application integration, cloud technologies, DevSecOps practices, and working closely with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable and high-performing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain applications using the OutSystems platform.
• Deliver application features throughout the full Agile sprint lifecycle.
• Manage application deployment, releases and monitor system performance.
• Enhance and optimise existing applications while ensuring system stability and avoiding regressions.
• Develop and integrate APIs, workflows, microservices and external systems.
• Support cloud-native application development and system integration.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects, Product Managers, business users and technical teams.
• Identify platform limitations, technical risks and propose suitable solutions.
• Support maintenance, troubleshooting and enhancement of mission-critical systems.
• Ensure applications comply with security, authentication, authorisation and governance standards.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, DevSecOps implementation, CI/CD pipelines and automated testing activities.

Job Requirements

Mandatory Skills & Experience

• Minimum 4 years of hands-on OutSystems development experience.
• OutSystems Certification (Associate Reactive Developer or above).
• Strong experience delivering applications using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience building enterprise or government/public sector digital solutions.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise application development and system integration.
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs and integrating external systems.
• Experience with low-code platform development and application enhancement.
• Good understanding of authentication, authorisation and application security.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with GovTech technology stack.
• Experience delivering projects on the OutSystems platform.
• Experience supporting legacy system modernisation.
• Experience with AWS or Government Commercial Cloud (GCC).
• Experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Experience with containerised applications, serverless technologies and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience supporting document management, workflow, payments integration, notifications, reporting and case management solutions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
