Job Description
- Drive lorries/trucks to deliver goods to customers, warehouses, or job sites
- Load and unload cargo (or supervise the process)
- Ensure goods are secured properly to prevent damage during transit
- Plan routes and follow delivery schedules
- Perform basic vehicle checks (fuel, oil, tires, brakes) before and after trips
- Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the vehicle
- Keep accurate delivery records (delivery orders, invoices, logs)
- Follow traffic laws and company safety policies
- Report delays, accidents, or vehicle issues promptly
- Collect payments or obtain delivery acknowledgments when required
