Drive company lorry to transport workers, goods, materials, and equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining vehicle condition and adhering to schedules and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Drive company lorry to transport workers, goods, materials, and equipment according to assigned schedules
- Load and unload goods safely, verifying quantities against delivery orders to ensure accuracy
- Plan and follow efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries and collections
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customers acknowledgement upon delivery
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and keep the lorry clean and roadworthy for safe operation
- Report vehicle defects, accidents, or delivery issues promptly to supervisors
- Comply with traffic regulations and company safety procedures at all times
- Assist with general warehouse or operational duties as needed
- Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor
Required competencies and certifications
- Possess a valid Singapore Class 3 or Class 4 driving licence
- Physically able to handle loading and unloading duties
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Relevant lorry-driving experience
- Familiarity with Singapore roads and traffic regulations
- Good driving record and strong safety awareness
- Responsible, punctual, and able to work independently
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and public holidays when required
