LORRY DRIVER

Key Responsibilities

• Drive lorries/trucks to deliver goods to customers, warehouses, or job sites
• Load and unload cargo (or supervise the process)
• Ensure goods are secured properly to prevent damage during transit
• Plan routes and follow delivery schedules
• Perform basic vehicle checks (fuel, oil, tires, brakes) before and after trips
• Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the vehicle
• Keep accurate delivery records (delivery orders, invoices, logs)
• Follow traffic laws and company safety policies
• Report delays, accidents, or vehicle issues promptly
• Collect payments or obtain delivery acknowledgments when required
