Job title: Logistics Operations Specialist

We deliver innovative and delightful halal catering solutions, building upon the legacy of excellence established by The Plattering Co. Pte Ltd.

We are seeking a motivated and positive Logistics Operations Specialist to join our catering service team and play a key role in ensuring our operations are efficient, timely, and high-quality.

As a Logistics Operations Specialist, you will manage and optimize our catering operations, including delivery logistics, inventory management, data analysis, and process improvements. You will ensure that food, equipment, and staff reach events on time, safely, and cost-effectively, while maintaining high standards of service.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations Planning & Coordination

  • Plan and oversee catering operations for events, corporate clients, and large orders.
  • Coordinate with kitchen teams, service staff, and delivery personnel to ensure timely preparation and dispatch.
  • Develop operational schedules to meet client requirements efficiently.

Logistics Management & Optimization

  • Manage end-to-end delivery logistics, including route planning, vehicle allocation, and staff scheduling.
  • Monitor delivery performance, including timeliness, accuracy, and service quality.
  • Implement strategies to optimize transportation costs and reduce delivery delays.

Inventory & Supply Chain Oversight

  • Track and manage inventory of ingredients, packaging materials, and catering equipment.
  • Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely stock replenishment and avoid shortages.
  • Analyze consumption patterns to reduce wastage and optimize stock levels.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Analyze operational and logistics data, including delivery efficiency, food wastage, order fulfillment rates, and cost per delivery.
  • Prepare reports and dashboards to support management decision-making.
  • Recommend improvements to operational workflows based on insights.

Process Improvement & Standardization

  • Identify inefficiencies in food preparation, delivery, and logistics operations.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for logistics and operations.
  • Introduce tools or software to automate workflows and enhance efficiency.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

  • Coordinate with suppliers, logistics vendors, and clients to ensure smooth operations.
  • Manage contracts, service levels, and quality standards with external vendors.
  • Resolve operational or logistical issues proactively during events.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure food safety, hygiene, and regulatory compliance during preparation, storage, and transportation.
  • Conduct audis to ensure adherence to SOPs and client requirements.
  • Maintain documentation for compliance and performance monitoring.

Key Skills & Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in catering services and the F&B industry is highly preferred.
  • Strong logistics and supply chain knowledge
  • Process optimization and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent coordination and communication with multiple teams
  • Ability to manage multiple events/orders simultaneously
