LOGISTICS MANAGER

Job Purpose

Plan, lead and optimise end-to-end logistics operations to ensure timely, accurate and cost-effective movement and storage of goods, while meeting service, safety, and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily logistics operations including inbound/outbound deliveries, warehousing, inventory control, and distribution planning.

• Develop delivery schedules and route plans to improve on-time performance and reduce transportation cost.

• Manage warehouse layout, space utilisation, stock accuracy, picking/packing quality, and cycle counts.

• Coordinate with customers, suppliers, freight forwarders and internal teams to resolve shipment issues and service escalations.

• Oversee logistics documentation (DO, invoices, POD, shipping documents) and ensure records are properly maintained.

• Track and report KPIs (on-time delivery, order accuracy, inventory variance, damage rate, cost per shipment).

• Manage logistics vendors (transporters, couriers, 3PL) including pricing, service levels and performance reviews.

• Ensure compliance with workplace safety, SOPs, and relevant regulations implement corrective and preventive actions.

• Lead, coach and roster the logistics team (drivers, warehouse assistants, coordinators) conduct training and performance reviews.

• Support continuous improvement projects (process redesign, WMS/TMS improvements, automation, cost saving initiatives).
