Job Description

Job Summary

The Logistics Manager is responsible for leading and managing import/export, customs clearance, transportation, and logistics operations to ensure compliance with international trade regulations and smooth execution of shipment activities.

This role oversees the logistics team, coordinates with internal stakeholders and external service providers, and drives operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, cost optimization, and timely delivery within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead and manage daily import/export and logistics operations to support business and manufacturing requirements.

· Supervise, coach, and develop the logistics team, including manpower planning, recruitment, training, and performance management.

· Ensure all import and export activities comply with applicable customs regulations, trade compliance requirements, and company policies.

· Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, and government authorities to ensure smooth shipment and customs clearance processes.

· Review shipping and trade documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with import/export regulations.

· Monitor shipment schedules and transportation activities to ensure on-time delivery and operational efficiency.

· Resolve shipment, customs, transportation, and logistics-related issues in a timely and effective manner.

· Evaluate and manage logistics service providers and freight forwarders to ensure service quality, cost efficiency, and operational performance.

· Maintain accurate logistics records and ensure proper documentation for audit and compliance purposes.

· Support and maintain ISO-related documentation and logistics operational procedures.

· Prepare logistics performance reports, shipment analysis, and operational updates for management review.

· Develop, implement, and continuously improve logistics procedures, workflows, and operational policies.

· Work closely with Supply Chain, Procurement, Warehouse, Manufacturing, Finance, and external partners to support business operations.

· Identify opportunities for process improvement, logistics optimization, and cost reduction initiatives.

· Provide practical and scalable logistics solutions to support business growth and operational requirements.

· Support additional projects and operational activities assigned by management.

Requirements

· Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related discipline.

· Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in logistics, import/export, or supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment.

· Prior team management or leadership experience is required.

· Familiarity with Singapore Customs regulations, international trade compliance, and import/export procedures.

· Experience working with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and transportation providers.

· Knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).

· Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic manufacturing environment.
