Job Description

A pioneering global biotech organization is seeking a Logistics Freight Manager to lead and optimize its Asia Pacific supply chain operations. This is a unique opportunity to join an innovation-driven company that is expanding its regional logistics capabilities.

We're looking for a hands-on Logistics Freight Manager to take full ownership of international freight across APAC. You will lead a small but capable team of logistics coordinators and serve as the regional expert for carrier performance, cost optimization, and compliant transport operations.

You'll collaborate closely with freight forwarders, 3PL partners, and customs brokers to ensure goods move on time, on budget, and in full compliance. This role offers the chance to improve processes, reduce costs, and make a measurable impact on the business.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-End Freight Management

  • Own and oversee all inbound and outbound shipments across APAC.

  • Partner with 3PLs and carriers to ensure seamless transportation.

Cost Control & Performance Optimization

  • Negotiate freight rates and implement strategies to reduce costs.

  • Track operational KPIs to enhance reliability and efficiency.

Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure shipments meet international trade, customs, and local regulations.

  • Manage DG/HazMat handling, Free Trade Zone compliance, and accurate HS classifications.

Problem-Solving & Process Improvement

  • Resolve complex logistics challenges such as delays, damages, and documentation issues.

  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline operations and boost accuracy.

Systems & Project Execution

  • Maintain SAP/TMS transactions and master data integrity.

  • Lead or support projects including warehouse relocations, site start-ups, stock transfers, and new product launches.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Mentor and manage logistics coordinators to ensure high performance and compliance.

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners across multiple countries.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field.

  • 7+ years of experience in manufacturing logistics or freight management.

  • Strong knowledge of import/export regulations, hazardous materials (DG/HazMat) compliance, and international shipping processes.

  • Strategic mindset with hands-on execution capability.
