Work Schedule: This position operates on a Tuesday to Saturday schedule, with flexibility for weekends or after-hours work when required.
JOB PURPOSE
Plan, coordinate, and manage the logistical functions (including driving-related duties) of the department in relation to roadshows, mobile blood drives, outreach events, as well as manage the store and logistical resources/assets of the department.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Logistical Management & Coordination
. Coordinate daily logistics activities, including delivery schedules, routing, and maintenance of the vehicle
. Coordinate and manage the delivery of materials and logistical support for the publicity and promotion of mobile blood drives, road shows, deliveries to bloodbanks and events
. Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery operations
. Monitor delivery timelines and address delays or operational issues promptly
. Support planning and setup for events, operations, or on-site activities (where applicable).
Delivery & Driving
. Perform delivery and collection of items according to assigned routes and schedules
. Ensure items/goods are handled, loaded, and unloaded safely and securely
. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report any faults or incidents promptly
. Adhere strictly to traffic rules, safety guidelines, and organisational SOPs.
Store and Inventory Management
. Maintain the stock levels of materials used for publicity and promotion of the blood donor programme
. Maintain the cleanliness of the store
. Assist in packing, unpacking, and storage of logistics items
. Undertake inventory management and tracking of all stock held in the store and bloodbanks
. Prepare and check delivery orders, documentation, and inventory records
. Ensure accurate tracking of items issued and returned
. Perform basic stock counts and update records when required.
Any Other Duties
. Maintain the functionality and cleanliness of the vehicle
. Assist with ad-hoc logistics duties as assigned
. Support weekend or after-hours operations when required
. Comply with workplace safety, security, and operational procedures.
JOB SPECIFICATION
Qualifications:
. Possess Nitec or Trade qualification or O Levels and valid Class 3 licence with good driving record.
Experience:
. 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
. Prior experience in logistics, delivery, or operations support preferred
. Candidate(s) with more experience may be considered as Senior Logistics Coordinator/ Delivery Driver.
Skills and knowledge
. Demonstrated interest in the non-profit/charity sector
. Think on the feet, make decisions and carry out responsibilities without the need for direct supervision
. Ability to follow instructions and standard operating procedures
. Able to safely carry, move, and set up equipment required for operational duties
. Self-motivated, responsible, adopts a proactive approach to every aspect of work
. Good driving skills with good knowledge of road directions and public locations
. Good communication and teamwork skills
. Able to work independently and as part of a team
. Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate well to people of all levels
. Ability to manage store inventory and provide relevant logistical support as required
. Basic record-keeping and documentation skills
. Willing to perform hands-on and operational tasks
. Willing to work on weekends/public holidays/outside office hours as and when required.
