Locum Occupational Therapist (West, Up to 68/h) HFT

Job Responsibilities

• Independently assess patients referred for occupational therapy and develop and implement appropriate treatment plans.

• Monitor patients progress and provide updates to referring doctors and other members of the medical team.

• Maintain accurate occupational therapy documentation and patient records.

• Handle patient registration and ensure accurate billing.

• Maintain and update individual performance and statistical records.

• Deliver quality patient care in accordance with clinical and service standards.

• Practise within professional competencies and seek guidance from supervisors or other healthcare professionals when necessary.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams and participate in case conferences.

• Conduct regular inventory and equipment checks.

• Assist in reviewing and updating clinical protocols, guidelines and SOPs.

• Support departmental projects, quality control initiatives and other workgroup activities.

• Take the lead in assigned departmental quality improvement activities.

• Support the promotion and marketing of occupational therapy services.

• Provide clinical education and supervision to occupational therapy students.

• Assist with the orientation and induction of new occupational therapists.

• Contribute to departmental training programmes and hospital educational talks.

• Keep up to date with the latest occupational therapy knowledge, clinical practices and professional developments.

Job Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy recognised for professional practice in Singapore.

• Eligible for registration with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC).

• Relevant clinical experience in occupational therapy is preferred.

• Good clinical assessment, treatment planning and patient management skills.

• Patient-oriented, proactive and committed to continuous professional development.
