Job Description
We are seeking experienced locum doctors with strong clinical background in general practice/internal medicine, and preferably in anaesthetics to locum within the Anaesthesia Pre-admission Clinic (PAC) at Singapore General Hospital.
Role
This is a clinic-only role and ideally the locum doctor can commit at least 4-5 sessions a week. There are 2 available sessions:
Mon - Fri: 8.30 am - 12.30 pm
Mon - Fri: 1.30 pm - 5.30 pm
Scope of work will include but not necessarily limited to the following:
- The use of Citrix/NHER for screening patients/documentation
- Communicate with multidisciplinary specialty teams including internal medicine, physiotherapists, nutritionists, surgeons etc.
- Will be required to provide a range of pre-anaesthesia counselling, including risks and questions pertaining to methods of anaesthesia, airway techniques, post-operative disposition, insertion of invasive lines etc.
- Will be required to refer and follow-up patients with unoptimised medical conditions to polyclinics, General Practitioners, other specialties, dental etc
