Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Receipt and Stock Accountability of Raw Materials
Receipt of additives and base oils.
Receipt and/or ordering of required utilities
Control of raw material, accurate reporting and record on raw materials used in blending
Stock check of raw material in drums and tank gauging
Blending of Oil Products
Receipt of Blending Order for blended oil products from Lead Operator - Blending.
Prepares lubricant blends in accordance with the Blending Order.
Follow blending procedures certified under the Quality System (ISO-9001) and Operational Excellence practices.
Operate blending manifold and system to blend according to the formula of the different products.
Decanting of drum base oil and additive into decanting tray.
Sampling of raw material and blended product for Laboratory QA testing ensuring specification conformance.
Prepares, clean out and flushing of pipelines and tanks at the beginning and during the blending process to prevent product contamination and blend adjustment.
Ensures all blended products are approved before being packaged.
Monitors and control blending time and blend adjustment.
Control contractor operator and constantly improves the overall effectiveness of the operation.
Administration and Reporting
Perform administrative duties and documentation as required
Blending report
Oil Transfer report
Tank gauging report
Housekeeping
Ensuring that his designated area is always clean, clear and orderly.
General housekeeping.
Manage and transfer mixed oil.
Reporting equipment malfunctions and feedback for improvement.
Other Duties
Perform tanker duties
Perform back-up duties for filling operator
Attend and participate in training.
Serve as members such as in Safety Committee, Recreation Committee and Emergency Response Team.
Required qualifications:
NITEC/Higher NITEC/Diploma in mechanical engineering or other discipline
2 to 5 years of working experience in Lubricants Blending Plant
Experience in DCS operation and CERT will be advantageous
Attended some of the WSQ HSE course e.g AWSHPP, WAH, etc
Self-motivated and effective team player with good communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Able to perform overtime work if required
Able to work on night shift/weekends if required
