Job Description

We are seeking a high-caliber LNG Trading Assistant to support a dynamic LNG trading desk across both physical and derivatives markets. This role provides hands-on exposure to the full LNG value chain - from global gas benchmarks (Henry Hub, TTF, JKM, Brent) and hedging strategies to vessel scheduling and portfolio risk analytics.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Trade & Portfolio Support

. Execute and manage hedging instruments (Futures, Swaps, Options) across TTF, JKM, NBP, and Henry Hub

. Capture vanilla and complex LNG physical transactions within the ETRM system

. Maintain daily Delta and Vega exposure reporting

. Deliver real-time risk analytics and exposure insights to traders

2. Shipping & Operations Coordination

. Serve as the commercial liaison between trading and shipping teams

. Monitor vessel movements, boil-off rates, and ETA changes impacting P&L

. Identify and implement optimization opportunities (e.g., slow steaming, diversions, sub-chartering)

. Support demurrage calculations and claims reconciliation

3. P&L & Risk Analysis

. Produce and explain daily P&L movements and attribution analysis

. Develop what-if scenario models to assess new trade structures

. Lead month-end Internal vs. External P&L reconciliations with Finance and Middle Office


Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Fnance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics.
2. 2-3 years relevant experience in LNG trading, commodities trading or broader energy markets.
3. Solid knowledge of LNG physical contract structures (DES/FOB) and global gas benmarks.
4. practical experience with ETRM platforms (Endur, Allegro, RightAngle preffered).
5. Strong analytical skills with advanced excel and Python capabilities.
