Ensure that LNG Operations fully complies with the company's internal standards including compliance and Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE), paying special attention to HSSE hazards and risks that may have impact on our license to operate
Comply with all applicable Laws, Policies and Procedures
Operations excellence and Risk management
Maintain accurate and timely actualisation of cargoes within JERAGM's ETRM and operational information is uploaded to trading systems
Ensure that all obligations arising from the contracts and charter parties are carried out, and that any necessary requirements are complied with
Ensure that all contractual deadlines are met and any contractual options are consulted with the front office commercial teams.
Provide robust risk management; sanctions checks, ensure financial security is in place and operations are executed as per contract
Operational review for LNG Confirmation Notices (CN), MSAs, Charter Party
Pursue continuous improvement and consistently seeking out new ways to enhance efficiency and creativity
Manage LNG calculations and LNG specifications.
Negotiate ADPs to secure desired cargo operations dates, issue ninety day delivery plans
Issue cargo instructions to suppliers and/or JERAGM's Freight Operations team
Appoint independent surveyors.
Provide guidance for necessary cargo invoicing work, diversion payments and clearances of accruals for both external and internal deals.
Ensure cargo documentation is in order, ensure ship shore compatibility is completed prior to any cargo operations
Value add and problem solving
Actively manage and resolve any cargo scheduling mismatches
Support commercial activities by proactively and consistently seeking value add by securing operational and scheduling flexibility.
exercising embedded commercial and logistical deal options and by pro-active approach to problem solving.
Liaise with counterparts and support team to ensure smooth operations, avoid delays and minimize demurrage costs
Pro-actively close out operational-related disputes, including COU issues, with external and internal counterparts or support and guide less experienced team members where necessary
Relationship building and stakeholder management
Build strong relationships with counterparties and leveraging on those relationships to achieve a desirable and nett positive outcome for the company
Collaborate with JERA HQ and support JERA's inventory management to ensure security of supply
Collaborate and provide cargo operations support to the business for new projects, new contracts
Collaborate and support commercial activities to maximise returns to JERAGM's shareholders
Qualifications
Key Qualifications and Experience
At least a Bachelor's Degree or higher in a relevant field
At least 3 years of LNG cargo operations or similar relevant experience in a trading environment
Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Proficiency in additional languages would be an advantage due to the need to interact with regional stakeholders.
Meticulous with detail and possess the ability to work independently
Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills to manage external and internal stakeholders with confidence and professionalism
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to understand and convey complex information accurately and effectively
Ability to think outside the box with an appetite for continuous improvement
Team player and able to work as part of a growing team within a dynamic, multi-cultural office environment
