Farmio is a B2B food supply chain platform providing reliable sourcing, warehousing, and last-mile distribution to food businesses across Singapore. We manage high-velocity food SKUs across a hybrid model combining physical operations with technology-enabled supply chain optimisation. We are in a growth phase - which means the person in this role will have real impact, real ownership, and real problems to solve.
The Operations Manager owns end-to-end operational execution across three core functions: procurement & ordering, warehouse & inventory management, and logistics & last-mile delivery.
You will lead three function-level teams, providing the direction, accountability, and problem-solving layer that keeps daily operations running - and systematically improving. This is not a desk role. You are expected to diagnose problems at the ground level, implement fixes, and build processes that prevent recurrence.
The right person for this role is a sharp, hands-on operator who leads by example, thinks ahead, and takes full ownership when things go wrong - then makes sure they don't go wrong again.
1. Customer Experience Through Operational Excellence
Systematically reduce customer complaints driven by operational failures - wrong orders, late deliveries, quality issues.
Diagnose root causes of recurring issues across procurement, warehouse, and logistics implement structural fixes, not just one-off patches.
Build and maintain SOPs that create consistency and reduce dependency on individual heroics.
2. Procurement & Ordering
Oversee the procurement function, ensuring stock is ordered accurately, on time, and in the right quantities.
Improve existing demand forecasting processes - work closely with the sales team to anticipate large or sudden orders before they create warehouse or logistics bottlenecks.
Think ahead: if a bulk order is incoming, know whether the warehouse can absorb it, and if not, proactively source solutions - third-party chilled storage, overflow space, adjusted delivery scheduling.
Monitor supplier lead times and ensure supply continuity escalate and resolve disruptions quickly.
3. Warehouse & Inventory Management
Oversee daily warehouse operations including inbound receiving, storage, cycle counts, and quality control.
Maintain inventory accuracy investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Monitor ageing, expiry, shrinkage, and write-offs implement corrective actions that stick.
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and Singapore regulatory requirements.
4. Logistics & Last-Mile Delivery
Oversee daily outbound logistics, ensuring all customer deliveries are fulfilled on time and in full.
Manage third-party drivers and logistics providers to clear service level standards.
Drive continuous improvement in OTIF performance resolve fulfilment failures at the root, not just the symptom.
Continuously evaluate logistics providers for cost and reliability.
5. Cost Efficiency
Own the operational cost line - warehouse, logistics, and procurement efficiency are your responsibility.
Identify and implement initiatives that reduce cost per order without compromising service quality.
Track and report on key cost and productivity metrics bring data-backed recommendations to leadership.
6. Team Leadership
Provide clear daily direction to the three function PICs across procurement, warehouse, and logistics.
Set performance expectations, escalation protocols, and accountability standards across the ops team.
Be the first point of escalation when issues arise - own the resolution, not just the handoff.
Lead from the front: you are not above getting onto the warehouse floor or riding along on a delivery run to understand what's actually happening.
7. Reporting & Cross-Functional Coordination
Produce regular operational reports on OTIF, inventory accuracy, procurement status, and cost metrics.
Work closely with sales, finance, and customer service to ensure ops execution supports commercial commitments.
Surface risks to the Country Manager proactively - with proposed solutions, not just problems.
