We are seeking a highly skilled Linux Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in managing and optimizing Linux environments, ensuring high availability and performance of our systems.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain Linux-based systems and servers.
Troubleshoot and resolve system issues and performance problems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability and security.
Automate repetitive tasks using scripting languages such as Bash or Python.
Monitor system performance and resource utilization, making necessary adjustments as needed.
Provide technical support and guidance to team members and clients.
Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support.

Skills and Qualifications

5-10 years of experience in Linux system administration and support.
Strong knowledge of Linux distributions (e.g., Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu).
Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
Proficiency in shell scripting and automation.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, KVM).
Understanding of networking concepts and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
