Role Summary
We are looking for a Linux Systems Engineer who will take the lead in deploying and rolling out Linux-based solutions across enterprise environments. This role is ideal for someone passionate about building systems from the ground up, ensuring they are secure, scalable, and production-ready. You'll work closely with infrastructure and application teams, driving end-to-end deployments that power critical business operations.
Job Responsibilities
- Deploy and configure Linux servers across on-premises and virtualized environments.
- Automate installation, configuration, and patching to streamline deployments.
- Test, validate, and optimize systems for performance, stability, and security.
- Support integration with VMware, KVM, and Windows environments.
- Document and standardize deployment processes for repeatability and compliance.
- Collaborate with vendors, project teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth rollouts.
- Contribute to system design discussions, particularly around deployment strategy and scalability.
Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or equivalent.
- Min 2 years of experience with Linux deployment and system builds.
- Strong knowledge of Linux installation, configuration, updates, and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with KVM/VMware virtualization.
- This role is only open to Singaporeans due to security clearance purposes.
- Solid networking knowledge (configuration, troubleshooting).
- Diploma/Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Initiative-driven, detail-oriented, with strong communication skills.
- Bonus: exposure to Windows Server or cloud environments.
