Lift Technician

We are looking for hands-on lift technicians who take pride in solving technical problems and delivering safe, reliable lifts. We welcome candidates with experience in lift troubleshooting, modernisation or testing and commissioning.

You will work on lift maintenance and modernisation projects, with responsibilities matched to your technical strengths and experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and rectify electrical, electronic and mechanical lift faults
• Carry out lift modernisation work, including controller replacement, wiring modifications, equipment installation and adjustments.
• Perform or assist with testing and commissioning of modernised lifts
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams and technical manuals to troubleshoot faults systematically.
• Identify root causes of problems and recommend corrective actions to improve lift reliability and ride comfort.
• Conduct checks and prepare lifts for inspections, testing and handover.
• Maintain accurate records of faults, repairs, parameter changes and test results.
• Work closely with the technical team and follow safe working procedures at all times.

Requirements

• Relevant hands-on experience in lift servicing, troubleshooting, modernisation or testing and commissioning.
• Strong capability in either troubleshooting or testing and commissioning is welcome experience in both will be an advantage.
• Able to read electrical diagrams and use appropriate diagnostic tools.
• Familiarity with lift controllers, variable-frequency drives, door operators and safety circuits.
• Responsible, dependable and willing to follow through on assigned work.
• A practical problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn different lift systems.
• Able to work independently within your competency and communicate effectively with the team.
• NITEC, Higher NITEC, diploma or relevant technical qualifications preferred. Candidates with strong practical lift experience are also encouraged to apply.
