Job Summary:
The incumbent is responsible for the role of Lifeskills Coach that encompasses implementing holistic services and programmes that will benefit and make an impact to the needs of clients under TUH and Special Needs Group. The incumbent is responsible for delivery of quality service, personal efficiency and teamwork at the workplace.
Main Responsibilities:
Planning, Development and Implementation:
- Be a part of the team for planning and development of training curriculum.
- Assess and develop Individual Care Plans with Social Worker.
- Deliver lesson plans and mentor trainees in Daily Living Skills (DLS), Personal Social Skills (PSS) and Occupational Guidance Programme (OGP), employing creative and innovative efforts to stimulate trainees intersts and to enhance their knowledge and skills.
- Conduct exercise, health-related and life skills activities to prepare trainees for independent living and open employment.
- Monitor and document trainee progress regularly.
- Promote character development and enrichment of trainees through sports, arts, and community involvement.
- Maintain regular communication with families and Social Worker / Manager regarding trainee welfare and progress.
- Ensure safety, discipline and hygiene of trainees at all times at the Hostel.
Open Employment:
- Support Senior Lifeskills Coach in preparing trainees for open employment by identifying potential trainees and train them in relevant industry skills.
- Keep tab of market trends and liaise with potential employers when needed.
Other Responsibilities:
- In-House Project: Use Work project as a platform to build trainees work attitudes, teamwork and behaviour management through training and mentoring.
- Weekend Programme: Plan and support weekend programmes and Continuous Support Programme (CSP) events if needed.
- Administrative: Ensure that training records are accurate and up-to-date

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree Holder, preferably with Special Education or Disability Studies, or with relevant experience
- Basic skill in MS Excel and MS Docs.
- This role is on shift work (Day Shift - 9am to 6pm | Night Shift - 1pm to 10pm).
- This role is a temporary position until April 2026.
