As part of its regional growth strategy, the company established its Singapore office in 2024 as a strategic hub to drive business expansion across Asian markets.
Leveraging extensive operational expertise from Japan and North America, the Singapore entity serves as a pivotal gateway to foster deeper audience engagement and expand licensing, merchandising, and distribution opportunities for iconic characters and popular animation titles.
Job Responsibilities
- Business Development & Sales:
Expand the company's regional presence across Asia Pacific markets.
Drive sales of character IPs, feature films, and animation titles across assigned Asian regions (excluding Japan).
Identify new business opportunities, propose available titles, negotiate contract terms, and conclude license agreements to achieve sales targets.
Evaluate market suitability and profitability of prospective new projects.
- Client & Operations Management:
Build, nurture, and maintain strong business relationships with existing and prospective clients.
Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure high client satisfaction.
Coordinate title rollouts and release schedules across regions through cross-departmental collaboration.
Manage the delivery of various promotional materials to regional partners.
- Market Insight & Administration:
Gather, analyze, and report regional market insights and sales performance to internal stakeholders.
Participate in and prepare for key international industry events and film markets (e.g., FILMART, TIFFCOM, ATF).
Perform essential administrative tasks including invoice processing, accounts receivable management, internal workflow circulations, and system data entry.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in any field.
- Genuine interest in animation and the broader entertainment industry.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Positive, adaptable mindset with strong interpersonal skills to build effective partner relationships.
- Proficiency in Business Chinese to facilitate regular communication with Chinese-speaking client counterparts.
- Willingness to travel overseas regularly for business purposes.
- Preferred: Prior experience in character (IP) licensing or distribution rights sales.
- Preferred: Prior experience working within small-team or startup environments.
Benefits & Employment Terms
- Base Salary: SGD 4,000 - 4,500.00 per month.
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
- Annual Wage Supplement (AWS): Entitled to 1 month's salary upon full-year completion (pro-rated for incomplete first year).
- Annual Leave: 14 days of paid annual leave per complete year of service.
- Sick & Hospitalization Leave: 14 days of paid outpatient sick leave and up to 60 days of hospitalization leave per calendar year.
- Medical Benefits: Participation in the company's Medical and Hospitalization insurance plan post-probation.
