Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW) - EV Charging Systems
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW) to join our EV charging infrastructure team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising, testing, commissioning, and endorsing electrical works related to AC and DC EV charger installations across residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
This role is critical in ensuring compliance with EMA regulations, electrical safety standards, and project quality requirements.
Perform statutory duties as a Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW) in accordance with EMA regulations.
Supervise and endorse electrical installation works for EV charging systems.
Conduct site inspections, testing, and commissioning of AC and DC EV chargers.
Prepare, review, and endorse electrical documentation, including:
Single Line Diagrams (SLD)
Test reports
SP PowerGrid submissions and turn-on applications
Oversee cable laying, termination works, DB/MSB modifications, and protection coordination.
Troubleshoot electrical faults and resolve technical issues during installation and operation.
Liaise with SP Group, EMA, consultants, clients, and building management.
Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations.
Maintain proper records, reports, and as-built documentation.
Valid Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW) licence
(Grade 8 / Grade 9 - depending on experience)
Minimum 3 years of relevant electrical experience.
Strong knowledge of Singapore electrical codes, SS638, and EMA requirements.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and SLDs.
Hands-on experience in:
Electrical distribution boards (DB/MSB)
Cable termination and testing
Electrical upgrading works
Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Able to work independently and manage multiple sites.
Willing to attend site works, shutdowns, and inspections when required.
Experience with EV chargers (AC & DC).
Familiarity with SP PowerGrid submissions and turn-on procedures.
Experience in residential condos, commercial buildings, or industrial facilities.
Knowledge of EV charger backend systems is an advantage.
