Job Description

We are seeking a senior support engineer to drive the stability, performance, and reliability of mission-critical systems. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex production issues, working across legacy and modern cloud environments, and influencing system improvements at scale.

You will play a key role in supporting a hybrid technology landscape-maintaining legacy platforms while contributing to a strategic migration to Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

.⁠ ⁠Own end-to-end application support (L1-L3) across production and non-production environments

.⁠ ⁠Monitor system health, performance, and availability

.⁠ ⁠Manage incidents, problems, and service requests in line with SLAs

.⁠ ⁠Perform deep-dive troubleshooting and root cause analysis (RCA)

.⁠ ⁠Implement fixes, workarounds, and minor enhancements

.⁠ ⁠Support system stability during cloud migration (Azure)

.⁠ ⁠Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve issues

.⁠ ⁠Maintain documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures

.⁠ ⁠Ensure compliance with IT governance, audit, and security standards

Requirements

.⁠ ⁠Minimum 7+ years in application support / production support / SRE / operations engineering

.⁠ ⁠Strong experience in incident management, RCA, and troubleshooting

.⁠ ⁠Hands-on experience supporting Java-based applications and/or .NET applications

.⁠ ⁠Experience working with databases (Sybase, SQL Server, or Azure SQL)

.⁠ ⁠Familiarity with ITIL processes (incident, problem, change)

.⁠ ⁠Exposure to cloud platforms (preferably Microsoft Azure)

.⁠ ⁠Strong communication skills with ability to engage technical & business stakeholders

Nice to Have

.⁠ ⁠Experience in enterprise or government environments

.⁠ ⁠Exposure to cloud migration or modernization projects

.⁠ ⁠Experience managing vendors or 24/7 support environments

.⁠ ⁠Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools (e.g., Splunk, Dynatrace, App Insights)
