We are seeking a senior support engineer to drive the stability, performance, and reliability of mission-critical systems. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex production issues, working across legacy and modern cloud environments, and influencing system improvements at scale.
You will play a key role in supporting a hybrid technology landscape-maintaining legacy platforms while contributing to a strategic migration to Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
. Own end-to-end application support (L1-L3) across production and non-production environments
. Monitor system health, performance, and availability
. Manage incidents, problems, and service requests in line with SLAs
. Perform deep-dive troubleshooting and root cause analysis (RCA)
. Implement fixes, workarounds, and minor enhancements
. Support system stability during cloud migration (Azure)
. Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve issues
. Maintain documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures
. Ensure compliance with IT governance, audit, and security standards
Requirements
. Minimum 7+ years in application support / production support / SRE / operations engineering
. Strong experience in incident management, RCA, and troubleshooting
. Hands-on experience supporting Java-based applications and/or .NET applications
. Experience working with databases (Sybase, SQL Server, or Azure SQL)
. Familiarity with ITIL processes (incident, problem, change)
. Exposure to cloud platforms (preferably Microsoft Azure)
. Strong communication skills with ability to engage technical & business stakeholders
Nice to Have
. Experience in enterprise or government environments
. Exposure to cloud migration or modernization projects
. Experience managing vendors or 24/7 support environments
. Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools (e.g., Splunk, Dynatrace, App Insights)
