Level 1 Desktop Engineer (onsite IT & AV support)

Location: Changi Airport (Multiple buildings)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 6:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

IT Helpdesk & Desktop Support

• Respond promptly to incoming calls and emails from end-users.
• Provide 1st level support for ICT computing devices and peripherals.
• Troubleshoot and verify hardware issues coordinate with hardware vendors for repairs.
• Perform software patching (e.g., Windows OS updates, antivirus updates, other software patches).
• Set up, install, re-install, and dispose of ICT computing devices as needed.
• Assist in relocation and reinstallation of computing devices across sites.
• Ensure all relocated or new equipment is tested and fully functional.

AV Support

• Provide user support for AV equipment in meeting rooms during hybrid meetings, Townhalls, and events.
• Deliver 1st level troubleshooting for AV systems escalate to vendors when necessary.
• Conduct scheduled checks (minimum twice weekly) to ensure AV equipment is operational.
• Support or be on standby for important VC/AV meetings, including those outside office hours.

Equipment Loan & IT Administration

• Manage and maintain a pool of loan equipment (e.g., laptops, AV gear, portable storage).
• Configure and issue loan equipment reset to default configurations upon return.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in IT support or desktop engineering roles.
• Solid knowledge of ICT computing devices, peripherals, and AV equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and coordination skills.
• Good interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Customer-focused with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Willingness to travel between multiple buildings within Changi Airport for support needs.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with hybrid meeting platforms (e.g., Zoom, MS Teams, WebEx).
• Familiarity with asset management and IT ticketing systems.
