Job Description

We are seeking a commercially driven Contracts Manager (Legal Supervisor) to support our expansion across Asia Pacific growth markets. This role sits within the Legal function and reports to the Legal Manager, but operates as a hands-on commercial contracts lead for vendor and major customer agreements.

The position is ideal for candidates with a strong legal foundation or substantial commercial contracting experience who are comfortable balancing legal risk with business objectives. You will work closely with sales, procurement, finance, and operations teams to structure, draft, and negotiate contracts that enable growth while protecting the company's interests.

This is a lower-middle management role requiring sound judgment, negotiation confidence, and the ability to independently manage complex cross-border agreements across APAC.

Job Responsibilities

Contract Management & Negotiation

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including:
    • Vendor and supplier contracts
    • Major customer and enterprise agreements
    • Master service agreements (MSAs), SOWs, NDAs, and amendments
  • Support negotiations with strategic vendors and key customers in APAC growth markets.
  • Ensure contracts reflect the company's risk tolerance, regulatory requirements, and commercial objectives.
  • Partner with sales, procurement, finance, and operations teams to streamline contracting processes.
Risk Management & Governance

  • Identify and mitigate risks in commercial agreements.
  • Maintain and improve contract templates, playbooks, and best practices.
  • Support internal audits and compliance initiatives related to contracts.

Process Improvement

  • Drive improvements in contract lifecycle management processes.
  • Deliver training to business stakeholders on contracting policies and negotiation best practices.

Job Requirements

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB or equivalent) is preferred. Candidates without a law degree may be considered if they possess strong, demonstrated experience in commercial contract drafting and negotiation within a multinational or regional environment.
  • Licensed attorney in any jurisdiction is an advantage but not required.
  • 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in commercial contracts, ideally involving vendor and enterprise customer agreements.
  • Experience supporting cross-border transactions, preferably within APAC markets.
  • Strong understanding of contract risk allocation, indemnities, limitation of liability, data protection, and compliance considerations.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Commercially pragmatic with the ability to balance legal risk and business objectives.
  • Multilingual skills relevant to APAC markets are a plus.
