Legal / Senior Counsel (MNC) - Japan / Singapore

Location: Tokyo or Singapore.

We are working with a global MNC energy focused business. This is an established team and you would be working across a range of products and services for Japan and the APAC region.

• Transactions: 70%
• Commercial: 20%
• Regional Projects: 10%

Job Description

• This newly created role will see you take the lead on a wide variety of transactions / agreements. Your role will take a leading role on complex transactions, ensuring legal support is available throughout deal lifecycles.
• You will offer on-point advice to business units on a range of complex issues and across the working region.
• You will work closely with teams on the structuring and the design of new products in existing and new markets.
• You will also offer hands on support for other topics such as commercial, compliance and project related matters.

Requirements

• 6 - 12 PQE
• Law firm training at a Tier 1 law firm
• Transactional background (open on practice area)
• Japanese languages - near native minimum requirement
• Ability to work with stakeholders across Asia, Europe and the US
