Key Responsibilities
Legal & Administrative Support
- Provide day-to-day administrative and secretarial support to assigned lawyers.
- Manage legal files and coordinate court submissions via e-Litigation.
- Draft cover letters and emails for legal and financial matters.
- Maintain precedent databases and updated case records.
Billing & Financial Coordination
- Conduct weekly WIP reviews and prepare draft billing reports.
- Track partner WIP, targets, and monthly projections.
- Monitor unpaid invoices, assist with accounts receivable follow-ups, and manage client fund requests.
Business Development & Marketing
- Assist lawyers to identify cross-selling and business development opportunities across practice groups.
- Assist lawyers on Legal 500 and Chambers submissions
- Maintain lists of client representatives for legal submission referees.
Client & External Liaison
- Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and external providers.
- Greet visitors and perform initial client screening.
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding client correspondence.
- Coordinate commissioning and notarisation of affidavits and regulatory filings.
- Liaise with transcription, interpretation, and translation providers, coordinate logistics with Maxwell Chambers.
Documentation
- Maintain and update contact inventories and databases.
Requirements
. Diploma/Degree in Legal Studies, Business Administration, or related field.
