  • At least 4 years experience in a legal secretary role, within Banking & Finance / Corporate / Tax practice in a legal services environment.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

We are looking for an experienced Legal Secretary to provide support across the Banking & Finance and Tax practice areas. The role requires strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage transaction-driven work alongside deadline-sensitive tax matters in a fast-paced legal environment.

Key Responsibilities

Banking & Finance Support

  • Prepare, format, proofread, and amend banking and finance documentation, including facility agreements, security documents, conditions precedent checklists, and ancillary documents
  • Manage document version control and ensure accuracy across transaction materials
  • Coordinate deal closings, including execution pages, signing logistics, and completion bibles
  • Assist with managing transaction timelines and follow up on outstanding documents

Tax Support

  • Assist in the preparation and organisation of tax opinions, filings, submissions, and correspondence
  • Track and manage tax and regulatory deadlines
  • Maintain organised files and precedents for tax matters
  • Liaise with external advisors, accountants, and tax authorities where required

General Secretarial & Administrative Support

  • Manage partners calendars, meetings, and travel arrangements
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders
  • Handle billing, time recording, and expense claims
  • Maintain accurate and confidential filing systems (physical and electronic)

Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a legal secretary, ideally supporting Banking & Finance, Corporate, or Tax practices
  • Strong document production skills, particularly in Microsoft Word (complex formatting and document comparison)
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Familiarity with document management systems, e-signature tools, and virtual data rooms
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
