Telin Singapore is a subsidiary of PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia International, providing telecommunications services via proprietary submarine cable connectivity between Indonesia, Singapore, and global locations.

Job Summary

You will draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements while providing practical legal support to business units and procurement. This role requires experience in commercial contracting, preferably in the telecommunications, or ICT, and a sound understanding of applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and manage diverse commercial agreements such as NDAs, master services agreements, service orders, reseller and partnership agreements, tender agreements, and procurement contracts to ensure legal compliance and commercial soundness
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide practical, solution-oriented legal advice on contractual matters, supporting effective negotiation and risk management
  • Align contracts with company-approved templates, policies, and risk positions, identifying contractual risks and recommending commercially viable solutions within established guidelines
  • Ensure upstream provider terms and conditions are accurately reflected or flowed down in customer agreements to maintain contractual alignment and mitigate risks
  • Support dispute resolution by coordinating with internal teams and external counsel to protect company interests
  • Facilitate procurement activities by preparing purchase requests, purchase orders, and related contractual documentation to ensure compliance and efficiency
  • Assist in periodic compliance and audit exercises to uphold regulatory and internal standards
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support legal and business objectives

Required competencies and certifications

  • Bachelor of Law (LLB), legal studies, or related paralegal qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of in-house or law firm experience in legal and compliance areas, preferably in telecommunications or ICT
  • Proven experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements
  • Strong understanding of general legal principles and contract risk assessment
  • Proficient command of English, both written and spoken, to effectively communicate legal matters

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Proficiency in Chinese and/or Bahasa Indonesia to support regional communications and legal matters
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills demonstrated through successful contract negotiations and collaboration
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills applied to identify risks and develop legal solutions
  • Business acumen and commercial mindset to align legal advice with business objectives
  • High attention to detail ensuring accuracy and compliance in legal documentation
  • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across functions and cultures in a multinational environment
  • Proactive, adaptable, and solution-oriented approach with a positive attitude
  • Professionalism, integrity, and discretion in handling confidential information
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively within teams
