  • Review, draft, and provide legal advice on a wide range of legal documents, including but not limited to sale and purchase agreements, lease agreements, financing documents, commercial contracts, memoranda of understanding (MOUs), letters of offer, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), and other corporate and commercial documents.
  • Provide legal and commercial support to business units across the company, with a focus on contract management, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, risk management, and other legal matters.
  • Review and advise on commercial contracts to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Liaise with and manage external legal counsel to obtain timely and cost-effective legal support.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and regional business units on legal, contractual, and compliance matters.
  • Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of the company's risk management framework, including conducting risk assessments and maintaining the corporate risk register.
  • Monitor relevant legal and regulatory developments and provide practical legal advice to support business operations.
  • Assist with dispute management and other legal matters as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B.) or an equivalent qualification recognised for legal practice.
  • At least 3 years of post-qualification experience in a law firm or as an in-house legal counsel.
  • Experience in commercial law, contract law, or construction-related legal matters will be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of construction contracts and the construction industry is preferred.
  • Proficient in bilingual languages (able to speak and write English and Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin-speaking associates, stakeholders and headquarters for work purposes.
  • Strong legal drafting, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
