Vouch is seeking a Legal Counsel to provide strategic and practical legal support across the organization, with a strong focus on litigation, dispute resolution, and risk management. The role involves managing and coordinating legal proceedings, advising on contentious and non-contentious matters, and supporting key business transactions including mergers, acquisitions, and commercial contracts.
The ideal candidate will possess 58 years of post-qualification experience, combining litigation expertise with a solid understanding of corporate and commercial law. You will work closely with management and internal teams across multiple jurisdictions to deliver clear, commercially sound legal advice. Primary Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and practical legal advice to management and internal teams on a broad range of matters, with a strong focus on litigation and dispute resolution.
- Manage and coordinate litigation, arbitration, and other dispute resolution proceedings, including instructing and liaising with external counsel where necessary.
- Evaluate legal risks and develop strategies for preventing, managing, and resolving disputes in a cost-effective and commercially pragmatic manner.
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, settlement agreements, and correspondence relating to contentious and non-contentious matters.
- Support internal investigations and ensure appropriate documentation, evidence gathering, and case management processes are in place.
- Advise on corporate and commercial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, financing, and general contracts, to minimize potential dispute exposure.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with business units such as procurement, IT, HR, logistics, and compliance to address operational legal risks and ensure adherence to corporate governance standards.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and judicial developments that may affect the company's operations and legal strategy.
What We Are Looking For
- A recognized law degree and professional qualifications in a common law jurisdiction; admission to the Singapore Bar is an advantage.
- 58 years of PQE, with demonstrable experience in litigation, dispute resolution, or contentious regulatory matters. Exposure to both law firm and in-house environments is preferred.
- Solid understanding of corporate and commercial law, including M&A, IT, and/or corporate finance transactions.
- Proven ability to manage and coordinate multi-jurisdictional disputes and external counsel effectively.
- Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to provide clear and commercially relevant legal advice.
- Pragmatic and solutions-oriented mindset, balancing legal risk management with business priorities.
- Capable of working independently while being an effective collaborator within cross-functional teams.
- Flexible, adaptable, and willing to travel as required for projects or case management.
