PURPOSE
Assist the Legal team for FWD Singapore.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Review, draft and negotiate commercial agreements entered into in the ordinary course of an insurance business (life and general)
Provide timely and accurate legal advice on contractual, regulatory, corporate governance and litigation issues
Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and policies that are applicable to an insurance business
Provide legal support for any ad-hoc projects or new product launches that have a legal/regulatory impact on the business
Assist to identify, escalate and resolve legal issues to facilitate business growth
Review and update standard documentation and create standard document templates
Maintain legal databases.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
3 - 6 years PQE
Corporate commercial or insurance background in a fast-paced in-house environment or a reputable law firm
Qualified in Singapore or other Common Law jurisdiction.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITY
Life and General Insurance expertise (preferred)
Strong drafting skills
Strong analytical and communication skills
Proactive, hardworking, organised, detail-oriented.
