We are partnering with a fast-growing global fintech / digital asset platform to hire a Legal Counsel (Data Protection focus).
This is a high-impact, business-facing role, working closely with senior leadership to build legal and privacy frameworks from the ground up in a dynamic, international environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Contracts Ownership - Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements (T&Cs, client agreements, LP/IB, outsourcing), ensuring compliance with global data privacy regulations.
- End-to-End Contract Lifecycle - Manage contracts from drafting to execution, amendments, renewals, and termination.
- Data Protection Framework -Support and enhance global data privacy frameworks, including cross-border data flow compliance.
- Business Partnering -Advise internal teams on product launches, user data handling, and privacy risks.
- Corporate & Commercial Support - Handle general corporate matters including governance, structuring, and day-to-day legal advisory.
Key Requirements
- Qualified Lawyer, LLB (or equivalent), admitted in SG / UK / US / HK (common law jurisdiction).
- Relevant Experience of 5+ PQE with exposure to fintech, trading, or digital asset platforms.
- Data Privacy Knowledge with hands-on experience with data protection frameworks / cross-border data compliance.
- Commercial Mindset with Strong contract drafting + ability to support business initiatives.
- Self-starter with builder mindset in fast-paced environments.
- Proficiency in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Chinese-speaking clients and counterparts.
