Job Summary
This high-impact, business-facing role requires a legal professional with proven expertise in financial services and digital assets to lead the full lifecycle management of corporate legal documentation and affairs, partnering closely with the General Counsel.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate core business contracts including Liquidity Provider agreements, client agreements, Introducing Broker agreements, payment agreements, and outsourcing agreements to support business operations and growth.
- Manage the full lifecycle of contracts, ensuring timely execution, amendments, renewals, termination, and compliance with post-termination obligations.
- Develop, maintain, and update standard contract templates and clauses to streamline recurring business activities and reduce legal risks.
- Collaborate with business units to deliver practical, commercially focused legal advice that enables operational efficiency and supports strategic growth initiatives.
- Act as the primary escalation point for resolving legal issues arising from business activities, ensuring timely and effective risk mitigation.
- Provide expert legal counsel on general corporate and commercial matters including corporate governance, group structure, and daily business operations to ensure compliance and sound decision-making.
- Deliver legal support on IT, data protection, and privacy matters to safeguard company interests and maintain regulatory compliance.
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- LLB or equivalent degree, admitted to practice in a common-law jurisdiction such as Singapore, UK, US, or Hong Kong.
- Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience combining top-tier law firm training and in-house roles within trading firms, fintech, or digital asset platforms.
- Builder mentality with demonstrated ability to independently establish processes and work autonomously in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken) to effectively review legal documentation, negotiate contracts, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
