Legal Counsel | Technology | 3+ PQE

About the opportunity

An international technology-driven organisation is seeking a Legal Counsel to join its legal team. Reporting to the General Counsel, you will support the business across commercial contracts, corporate governance, regulatory matters and new business initiatives.

This is an excellent opportunity for a junior to mid-level lawyer looking to broaden their in-house experience.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate service, vendor, licensing and other commercial agreements
• Identify legal and contractual risks and provide practical recommendations
• Support corporate governance frameworks, policies and documentation
• Advise on cross-border regulatory and general business matters
• Support new products, partnerships and market expansion
• Assist with intellectual property, confidentiality, data protection and technology-related compliance matters
• Maintain contract templates, legal records and internal trackers
• Support legal training and other projects as required

Requirements

• Recognised law degree with admission to practice in at least one jurisdiction
• At least 3 years PQE gained in a reputable law firm and/or in-house legal team
• Strong commercial contract drafting and negotiation experience
• Exposure to areas such as corporate governance, regulatory compliance, intellectual property, cross-border matters or disputes
• Commercially minded, organised and comfortable managing multiple priorities
• Mature, collaborative and proactive
