Overview
A fast-growing international energy and infrastructure platform is looking to hire a Legal Counsel to support its expanding regional operations. This role offers broad exposure across commercial, corporate and cross-border matters, working closely with business stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions.
You will play a key role in supporting day-to-day legal activities while contributing to the build-out of internal legal capabilities across the region.
Responsibilities
- Provide practical, commercially sound legal advice to business teams across a range of corporate and operational matters
- Draft, review and negotiate a wide spectrum of agreements, including commercial, supply, project and partnership contracts
- Support cross-border transactions and collaborations with regional affiliates, joint ventures and external partners
- Identify legal and regulatory risks, and propose workable solutions aligned with business objectives
- Partner closely with internal stakeholders (commercial, operations, finance) to drive timely and effective outcomes
- Assist on strategic initiatives, corporate structuring and legal operations projects as required
Requirements
- Qualified lawyer with a recognised law degree admission in a common law jurisdiction preferred
- Approximately 5-7 years experience, gained in private practice and/or in-house within a multinational or project-driven environment
- Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills with a pragmatic, business-oriented approach
- Comfortable working across jurisdictions and managing regional stakeholders
- Detail-oriented, organised and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively across cultures
