Legal Counsel

Location: West, Singapore

Our client, a premier MNC is seeking for a high-caliber Legal Counsel to partner closely with the Head of Legal to support their accelerating growth of operations in Singapore. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing legal risk, advising corporate business units, and ensuring compliance across both Singapore and global operations.

Responsibilities:

• Advise business units and senior management on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters, with a focus on logistics and supply chain operations
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, with supervision provided on complex matters
• Support compliance infrastructure with local and international frameworks and assist in establishing practical corporate compliance guidelines.
• Assist with disputes and litigation, including document management and coordination with external counsel and authorities
• Provide legal support for M&A, restructurings, and inter-company agreements, including basic due diligence
• Work with external counsel by preparing instructions, reviewing draft advice, and tracking timelines
• Act as the main legal contact for Group, covering corporate housekeeping, auditor queries, and special projects
• Track legal and regulatory developments and share short updates with stakeholders
• Attend to management and/or board meetings, and other duties as required

Requirements

• Degree in Law from an established educational institute
• Admission to Singapore Bar is highly preferred
• Possesses at least 2 to 3 of post-qualification experience in a law firm, or in-house company
• Good commercial and corporate legal foundation, with a practical, business-mindedapproach
• Good in drafting, negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
• Able to handle day-to-day matters independently
• People person, comfortable to working with colleagues across cultures and function
