Legal Counsel

Salt Talent Search is looking for a Legal Counsel for a 6-month contract role. This role is to support a well-known Tech Client. This role will support clients sales and services teams mainly in ASEAN (including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and Philippines) and other regions in Asia as necessary, while partnering effectively with Deals Management, Sales and Global Legal Services teams.

What Will You Do:

• Support Clients sales and services teams mainly in ASEAN (including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and Philippines) and other regions in Asia as necessary, while partnering effectively with Deals Management, Sales and Global Legal Services teams.
• Negotiate significant or complex cloud technology transactions
• contract negotiation and drafting
• Supporting on advice for legal matters.

What Do You Need:

• Bachelor of Laws from a recognized university, and previously called to the Singapore Bar
• Experience in data protection and privacy legislation
• At least 5 years post qualification experience with a law firm and/or in-house position
• Experience negotiating significant or complex cloud technology transactions
• Excellent contract negotiation and drafting skills (knowledge of ASEAN regulatory environment is a plus)
• Meticulous attention to detail and ability to manage multiple transactions and projects simultaneously under deadline pressure
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to create and sustain lasting relationships with customers and management
• Ability to deliver in a demanding and entrepreneurial environment in a timely manner
• A strong team player who can work well with colleagues in Finance, Sales and other functions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-output, team oriented, practical environment
