Legal Counsel - Private Credit/Special Situations

My client is a reputable alternative investment manager seeking a Legal Counsel in Singapore.

This is a unique opportunity for a commercially minded lawyer to join a lean, entrepreneurial investment platform and play a key role in supporting investment activity, transaction execution, and broader legal matters across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal support across investment and financing transactions.
• Lead transaction execution and deal-related legal documentation.
• Advise on private credit, special situations, and structured investment opportunities.
• Support negotiations with counterparties, lenders, investors, and external counsel.
• Handle general corporate, governance, and internal legal and compliance matters.
• Partner closely with investment professionals and senior management on legal and commercial issues.

Ideal Candidate

• Approximately 6-12 PQE, although exceptional candidates outside this range will be considered.
• Experience gained in a leading law firm and/or investment platform.
• Exposure to buy-side transactions.
• In-house experience is beneficial but not required.
• Ability to operate independently in a lean and fast-paced environment.
