Senior Legal Counsel - Oil and Gas
My client is a leading and growing Oil and Gas Firm and we are recruiting for a Senior Legal Counsel. You will be given the opportunity to support the business on all legal related matters in the region, and work closely with stakeholders in the market.
Responsibilities for this Senior Legal Counsel - Oil and Gas
- Provide comprehensive legal advisory and support to the Trading business, ensuring commercially sound and legally robust outcomes.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including shipping, trading, and operational agreements
- Lead or support dispute management and resolution relating to trading and shipping matters, safeguarding the company's commercial interests.
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments globally, assessing business impact and advising senior management on proactive strategies, risk mitigation, and compliance requirements.
Requirements for this Senior Legal Counsel - Oil and Gas
- Bachelor's degree in law or equivalent law qualification, Singapore qualified
- At least 3-5 years of relevant law firm experience / in-house experience with exposure to handling oil products or commodities trading
- Strong working knowledge of trade and maritime/shipping law is advantageous.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to provide clear, commercially oriented legal advice.
- Proven capability to operate both independently and collaboratively in a highpressure, fastmoving environment.
