Legal Counsel - Fintech / Digital Assets
We are working with a fast-growing fintech company at the forefront of digital assets and financial innovation. As part of their continued expansion, they are seeking a Legal Counsel to join their Singapore office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise on regulatory and licensing matters, including engagement with MAS and other relevant authorities.
- Lead and support internal legal projects related to product launches, business expansion, and compliance frameworks.
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts and customer-facing documentation.
- Monitor and interpret regulatory developments in payments, e-money, and digital assets.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product, compliance, and senior leadership.
Requirements:
- 5-8 years of post-qualification experience, with a strong foundation in financial services regulation.
- Prior in-house legal experience in fintech, payments, or crypto-related companies preferred.
- Experience dealing with MAS and familiarity with the Payment Services Act (PSA) and MPI licensing.
- Strong understanding of crypto-related legal and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
