Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare, examine, and negotiate contracts and other legal documentation supporting local and regional business activities.

• Advise the business on corporate, commercial, and regulatory legal matters.

• Support and implement compliance programs, including competition law, anti-bribery/anti-corruption, and data privacy requirements.

• Assist with the oversight and coordination of litigation, arbitration, and other dispute resolution matters.

• Work closely with internal stakeholders and external legal advisors to identify and manage legal risks.

• Monitor changes in laws and regulations and provide guidance on their impact on business operations.

• Perform additional legal duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Law.

• Qualified to practice law in Singapore, with admission to the Singapore Bar required.

• At least 3-5 years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal role, preferably within an international or multinational business environment.

• Solid expertise in contract law and regulatory compliance matters.

• Familiarity with maritime law, trade and sanctions compliance, mergers and acquisitions, or other relevant industry-specific regulations is an advantage.
