Legal Counsel (In-house / Electronics Manufacturing / Regional)

Job Summary
Responsible for delivering full-spectrum business and legal affairs support across multiple countries in the region. Act as a key advisor to management on strategic, financial, and reputational matters while ensuring the organisation operates in compliance with all relevant laws and regulatory requirements.

Key Accountabilities

Legal Advisory & Commercial Support

• Prepare, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including distribution, resale, vendor, supplier, and licensing contracts.

• Provide practical, timely legal guidance to internal teams and present complex legal issues in clear, business-friendly terms.

• Advise on compliance topics such as anti-bribery rules, data privacy, internal governance processes, and IP strategy.

• Support labour-related matters and interpret regulations affecting day-to-day operations.

• Identify risks in ongoing business activities and recommend solutions that balance legal protection with commercial goals.

• Offer guidance on brand protection and intellectual property matters.

• Conduct internal and external training to strengthen compliance awareness.

Corporate Governance & Regulatory Compliance

• Oversee statutory filings and ensure the organisation meets all legal and regulatory obligations in each jurisdiction.

• Manage company reporting requirements and act as the legal representative when needed.

• Review and authorize legal documentation related to audits, finance, and corporate processes.

• Maintain intercompany agreements and ensure they comply with local tax and regulatory standards.

External Counsel Management

Supervise and control external legal expenditure on individual matters while supporting broader legal and business initiatives.
