THE ROLE

Reporting directly to the General Counsel for the Asia Pacific Region , the Legal Counsel will primarily negotiate a variety of cloud services (including SaaS), software license, professional services and other related agreements (including addenda and order forms) with Temenos clients, negotiate with partners and third-party suppliers, advise on associated legal issues such as privacy, security and intellectual property and handle dispute resolution-related matters in the region of appointment.

RESPONSIBILITES

  • You will manage, negotiate and draft cloud services, software license, professional services and related agreements (including addenda and order forms) with clients in the Asia Pacific region.
  • You will manage and negotiate on technology procurement matters relating to the Temenos products and services including inbound software licensing and cloud services solutions.
  • You will manage disputes, pre-litigation, and litigation files (including arbitration).
  • You will liaise with and supervise external counsel for outsourced matters.
  • You will follow-up on business and legal related activities on a day-to-day basis, including advice on privacy, security and intellectual property issues related to Temenos products and services.
  • You will review and advise on employment matters including employment agreements.
  • You will review and advise on marketing-related agreements.
  • You will perform such other duties, functions and services, consistent with legal counsel status, experience and preferences, as may from time to time be determined by the other members of the legal department or by Senior Management.
  • You will undertake regional training activities related to the legal function.


WHAT YOU BRING

  • You will thrive in a fast-paced sales environment, taking a commercial and pragmatic approach to complex legal issues.
  • You will have relevant legal experience in technology, intellectual property, privacy/data security, and/or financial services.
  • You are resilient, great at prioritisation and time management, and you approach your role as an in-house lawyer with a can do attitude.
  • You pride yourself on your legal drafting skills, and you have a problem-solving mindset.
  • You enjoy working with lawyers and non-lawyers alike, and you're keen to develop your legal skills in the financial technology sector.
  • You'd relish the opportunity to work on legal matters across the Asia-Pacific region.
