Job Description

• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including hotel management, franchise, branded residences and technical services contracts.
• Advise business and development teams on legal, commercial and operational risks associated with new transactions and existing owner relationships.
• Support the full lifecycle of hospitality projects, from deal structuring and contract execution through to ongoing operations, renewals, restructurings and exits.
• Provide legal guidance on real estate, financing and asset-related matters involving investors, lenders and property owners.
• Assist in the management of disputes, claims and contentious matters while coordinating with external legal advisers where required.
• Contribute to corporate projects, strategic investments, business restructuring initiatives and transactional due diligence activities.
• Develop and enhance legal templates, policies, contracting processes and compliance frameworks to support business efficiency and risk management.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Legal Counsel should have:

• Qualified lawyer admitted to practice in a recognised common law jurisdiction.
• Over 6 years of post-qualification experience gained within a reputable law firm and/or in-house legal environment.
• Strong background in commercial transactions, contract drafting and negotiation.
• Exposure to hospitality, real estate, projects, infrastructure, franchising or related sectors.
• Experience advising business stakeholders on legal risk, commercial strategy and transaction structuring.
• Ability to manage multiple cross-border matters and coordinate legal input across different jurisdictions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Commercially astute, pragmatic and able to balance legal considerations with business objectives.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to operate effectively within a fast-paced international environment.
