Legal Counsel, Financing (4 to 8 PQE) Digital Infrastructure Platform

Our client is a fast-growing digital infrastructure platform with a strong regional presence and ambitious growth plans across Asia Pacific. As the business continues to expand, they are looking to hire a Legal Counsel to join their legal team in Singapore. This is an excellent opportunity for a 4–8 PQE lawyer to move into a commercially focused in-house role within the digital infrastructure sector.

The role will have a strong focus on financing matters, supporting the business across debt financing, refinancing, capital projects, corporate transactions and general commercial legal work.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior management and the finance, investment, commercial and operational teams, as well as external counsel and financing counterparties across multiple jurisdictions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the business on financing and treasury-related matters, including debt financing, refinancing, facility agreements, security documents, intercreditor arrangements and related transaction documentation.
• Work closely with finance, investment and corporate teams on funding requirements for growth projects, acquisitions and platform expansion.
• Review, negotiate and manage legal documentation relating to financing transactions, corporate transactions, commercial contracts and strategic projects.
• Support regional legal matters across Asia Pacific, working with internal stakeholders and external counsel across multiple jurisdictions.
• Provide legal support on digital infrastructure projects, including data centre developments, commercial arrangements, procurement and operational matters.
• Assist with corporate governance, regulatory, compliance and general legal matters as required.
• Manage external counsel effectively, ensuring high-quality, commercially practical and cost-efficient legal support.
• Provide pragmatic and commercially focused legal advice to business teams and senior stakeholders in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

REQUIREMENTS

• 4–8 years PQE, ideally gained with a leading law firm and/or an established in-house legal team.
• Strong financing experience is essential.
• Candidates with backgrounds in banking and finance, project finance, acquisition finance, leveraged finance, structured finance, general lending or infrastructure finance are encouraged to apply.
• Lawyers currently in private practice are very welcome to apply. Prior in-house experience is not required.
• Experience within digital infrastructure, data centres, telecommunications, real estate, energy or the broader infrastructure sector would be advantageous, but is not essential.
• Strong drafting, negotiation and transaction management skills.
• Commercially minded, hands-on and comfortable working closely with non-legal stakeholders.
• Able to manage multiple workstreams across jurisdictions and communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Singapore-qualified, England & Wales-qualified or other common law-qualified lawyers will be considered.
