Kerry Consulting is working with a financial institution that is seeking a mid-level legal professional to join its legal team. Reporting to the tram lead, this role offers the opportunity to work at the heart of a dynamic and highly regulated environment, providing strategic and commercially focused legal support across the organisation.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will provide accurate and timely legal advice on a broad spectrum of commercial and governance matters affecting the group's businesses. You will be responsible for developing, updating, and implementing legal risk management frameworks, including policies, processes, and internal training programmes. You will asisst in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of legal contracts including but not limited to standard terms, templates, and internal policies, ensuring that legal risks are effectively managed and that appropriate safeguards are in place.
You will also play an important role in monitoring and advising on legal, regulatory, and compliance developments, providing regular updates on relevant matters, including potential breaches or emerging concerns. Staying abreast of developments within the financial services sector will be essential, as you assess and manage the legal implications of industry changes on the organisation.
Requirements
You should ideally be a Singapore qualified lawyer with at least 6 years PQE. Prior experience in technology related agreements and experience in M&A transactions is preferred. You should possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels and translate complex legal concepts into clear, practical advice.
